Day 1: Colombo

Colombo is the commercial capital and largest city of Sri Lanka, blending modern urban life with colonial charm. Key attractions include Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, Pettah Market, and upscale shopping malls. It serves as a vibrant gateway to the island’s cultural and coastal treasures.

Day 2/ Day 3: Kandy

Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this temple is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka. It enshrines the tooth relic of Lord Buddha and features stunning architecture, religious rituals, and cultural festivals. The city itself is rich in heritage and nestled amidst scenic hills and a tranquil lake.

Day 4/ Day 5: Sigiriya and Dambulla

Home to the Golden Temple, Dambulla is famed for its series of cave temples filled with ancient Buddha statues and intricate wall paintings. It is a revered pilgrimage site and offers spiritual insight into over 2,000 years of Buddhist history. The temple is built under a massive rock overhang, providing breathtaking views.
Often called the Lion Rock, Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and former royal palace built atop a 200-meter high rock. It features beautiful frescoes, landscaped gardens, and water features, and is entered through giant lion’s paws carved into stone. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a symbol of ancient engineering and artistry.

Day 6/ Day 7: Kaudulla / Anuradhapura

Kaudulla National Park is a wildlife sanctuary known for its large gatherings of Asian elephants, especially during the dry season. The park features lush grasslands, a large reservoir, and diverse wildlife including deer, birds, and leopards. It's a key eco-tourism site offering scenic jeep safaris and birdwatching.
Anuradhapura is one of the oldest cities in Sri Lanka and a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site. It is home to ancient stupas, monasteries, and the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree, believed to be the oldest recorded tree in the world. Day 9: Jaffna

Jaffna is a culturally rich city in northern Sri Lanka, known for its Hindu temples, colonial architecture, and Tamil heritage. Key attractions include the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, Jaffna Fort, and vibrant local cuisine. It offers a unique cultural experience distinct from the southern parts of the island.
